Ordnance Survey Historical Photographs
This collection is from Ordnance Survey's own archive of historical photographs.
The collection begins in the 1860's when photography was introduced as a means of speeding up map production. OS also began to photograph its own staff, not only the most senior officials, but more humble soldiers and civilian staff too.
The selection of photos to appear on Timepix.uk is underway with up to 2000 expected during 2018, but a few are already on the site.
